Ear Piercing Specialist
Absolute Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center
Dermatologists & Dermatopathologists located in Glen Allen, VA & Chesterfield, VA
Done in a sterile environment by a professional for a relatively pain-free experience. At Absolute Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center, we use both injected and topical numbing medication prior to placing stainless steel earrings. These earrings are less likely to cause any irritation and therefore create a healthier piercing from the start.
Ear Piercing Q & A
Will it hurt?
At Absolute Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center, we use a numbing cream prior to an injected numbing agent so the piercing is essentially painless.
When can I change my earrings?
We recommend keeping the stainless steel earrings in your ears for at least 8 weeks prior to changing them out. This ensures the skin in the earlobe has had adequate time to heal and form an appropriate passage for new earrings.
Can I bring in my own earrings?
We recommend using our stainless steel earrings to decrease the risk of irritation and infection in a newly created wound.
