Age Spots
What is an age spot?
Most age spots include Seborrheic Keratoses, Cherry Angiomas, dermatosis papulosa nigra (DPN). They can appear on the skin starting around age 30.
Are they dangerous?
Most age spots are benign and cause no real threat. They can become irritated and bothersome, you should contact your provider if and when this happens!
Can I get rid of them?
Although it is possible to remove them the removal is not covered by insurance and is considered cosmetic. Age spots are often genetic and pose no reason for removal. We all become decorated as we age!
